Culture is a strong binding force in societies, and every individual is rooted in a culture that influences lifestyle and attitude towards life. At Joyous, we train students from childhood to experience various cultures and to develop tolerance, understanding and respect for communities — paving the way for a harmonious social living.
Beyond the festivals, a varied calendar of special events keeps the school year full of opportunities to test skills, demonstrate creativity, explore the world and spark curiosity.
Our Festivals
Independence Day — 15th August; flag hoisting, pride and patriotic spirit.
Republic Day — 26th January; enthusiasm and respect for our Constitution.
Christmas — 25th December; joy, sharing and festive cheer.
Uttarayan — 14th January; the vibrant kite festival of Gujarat.
Teacher’s Day — 5th September; honouring and thanking our beloved teachers.
Major Events
Annual Function — the school’s grand annual function, with performances by every section.
Science Project Day — young scientists showcase experiments and projects.
Swachh Bharat Abhiyan — students clean the surroundings and plant trees, watering them as part of the national cleanliness drive.
Sports Day — a day of energy, teamwork and school pride.
Rifle Shooting — an AAN activity where students build focus, steadiness and discipline.
Helpers Competition — students learn life skills and are recognised as wonderful helpers.
Extra Curricular Activities — a wide range of activities enjoyed throughout the year.
Trips & Explorations
Amaazia Water Park — a fun trip to Amaazia Water Park.
Botanical Garden — an educational trip exploring nature and the environment.
Sumul Dairy — an educational trip to see how milk is processed.
Horse Riding — held on 9th March; a memorable outdoor experience.
Colour & Special Days
Special colour days bring food, fun and learning into school life — from Cadbury and biscuits on the Blue Day, to thepla, cucumber, cabbage, spinach, kiwi and grapes on the Green Day, and tomatoes, jam and sauce sandwiches on the Red Day.
